Today at a press conference in Washington, D.C., Joe Biden announced that he and President Obama have completed or made significant progress on 21 of 23 new executive orders to curb gun violence.
The announcement came as a signal that that, despite the failure of background-check legislation to pass in the Senate in April, the President and his administration will not back down on this issue until significant changes have been made to ensure a tragedy like Newtown cannot happen ever again.

The man had gotten the gun from an Internet website called "Backpage," even though he is under 21-years-old. Colter, the shooting victim and the other three people were all in the apartment hanging out and playing video games when Colter started joking around about having a gun, a police report revealed.
The report stated that Colter pointed the gun in the direction of [his friend] and then pulled the trigger expecting to hear a "click." Instead, the gun allegedly went off and a bullet struck the man in the chest. [Fox Phoenix]
